Charytín's Most Recent Scandal Is Becoming a Super Mama as the Latest Hispanic Celebrity to Join the Got Milk? Campaign

Internationally recognized TV host, singer and actress Charytín has teamed up with the Milk Processors Education Program (MilkPEP) to spread the word to Hispanic moms across the country about the importance of drinking milk to stay healthy, strong and in shape. She drinks milk because studies suggest that the nutrients in 3 glasses of low fat or fat free milk a day, along with exercise and eating right can help maintain a healthy weight and the protein helps build lean muscle mass. As such, Charytín will be showing off her milk mustache along with her 3 kids, Shalim, Alex and Sharina, in the upcoming Hispanic ad campaign.

This message is vital for Hispanics since according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 1/3 of Hispanics in the United States are currently obese. Obesity leads to many health-related problems that Hispanics are already predisposed to such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease(1).

"This campaign's educational effort is immense. It's marvelous. When I found out one third of the Hispanic population is obese, I said, 'my God, there are so many obese people in our society.' That means that they don't know about the power of milk and how they can incorporate low fat or fat free milk in a diet plan like I do. I want to educate Hispanic women on how drinking low fat or fat free milk can help them lead a healthy lifestyle, while raising their children to be healthy as well," explained Charytín.

In honor of Mother's Day, Charytín is encouraging all Hispanic moms to be on the lookout this summer as we visit your city during our annual Milk Mustache Mobile Tour searching for our next got milk? celebrity -- YOU! Sign up for the chance to be our next Super Mama and enjoy the once in a lifetime opportunity to star in your very own got milk? ad with your kids. As the winning Super Mama, you will also receive an all expense paid trip for you and your family to Orlando, FL.

"I think that the best ally that Hispanic moms have in their pursuit of being Super Mamas is milk. Definitely. Why? Because one of the main things mothers want for their children is for them to grow up healthy, strong and in shape. Milk can be a powerful tool when you start considering all its benefits: nine essential nutrients, including calcium and protein, which along with exercise helps build lean muscle. You have to drink milk for yourself and for your kids," explains Charytín.
