NOT RETIRING JUST YET: Gloria Estefan Announces First Leg of Her Latin American Tour

Miami's queen Gloria Estefan is not retiring just yet. Gloria announced her Latin American tour at the beautiful ICON Brickell in Miami. Tour begins on April 9th, at the Conrad Hotel in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

After selling more then 90 millions albums, a career that spans more than two decades, multiple promotional visits to this continent and strong ties to her loyal fans in the region, Gloria Estefan finally fulfills her dream to take her greatest hits tour to Latin America.

The show lasting over 2 hours, will include all the hits that have made Gloria one of the best selling artists in the world and one of the most sought-after recording artists in the history of Latin music. She will perform anthems like “Conga”, “Mi Tierra”, “Rhythm is Gonna Get You” with her trademark flavor and electrifying energy as well as ballads such as “Anything For You” and “Con Los Años Que Me Quedan” among others. (NOTE: Gloria's daughter, Emily will perform with her on stage during this tour)

LATIN AMERICA TOUR SCHEDULE (PART 1)
•Thursday, April 9 – Punta del Este, Uruguay, Conrad Hotel
•Wednesday, April 15 – Santiago, Chile, Movistar Arena de Santiago
•Saturday, April 18 – Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge Newbery del Estadio GEBA (Gimnasia y Esgrima de Buenos Aires)
•Tuesday, April 21 – Peru, Estadio Monumental
•Thursday, Abril 23 – Ecuador, Estadio Atahualpa

Part two of the tour will include: México, Panamá, Santo Domingo and Puerto Rico among others, but dates haven't been confirmed.

And if you think LA GLORIA will retire after her tour, she insist she's not going to stop working. Among the projects she's working on is a biopic about singer Connie Francis.

'I've been working with her for over two years and I'm anxious to finally get it into production. Also, I have already started writing a 'book' in my head. Now I want to be able to put it on paper and communicate with all of you on an even deeper level. I want to write this myself, not with some other writer filtering my thoughts and putting them into words that are not really my own.''

Gloria Estefan was the Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year last year, and will be named BMI Icon at the society's Latin Awards in Palm Beach, Fla., on Mar. 12.
