Alejandro Sanz a big winner at last night's ASCAP Latin awards

Alejandro Sanz received the Latin Heritage award at the 2011 ASCAP Latin awards at the Ritz Carlton, South Beach.

Aside from that award, he also received an award with fellow composer Tommy Torres for last year's smash hit "Looking for Paradise". Alejandro arrived with his beautiful, expecting girflfriend Raquel Perreira.

Other winners for the night included composer of the year, Tito El Bambino, Jean Carlos Canela, and Rudy Perez.

Alejandro Sanz performs Looking for Paradise at the MA World Conference

Grammy award winning singer Alejandro Sanz performed his latest hit Looking For Paradise to more than 20,000 antendees of the MA World Conference at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

Looking For Paradise, a song co-produced by Alicia Keys, was this year's theme song for the convention and rightfully so. The song was written aboard JR and Loren Ridinger's 150-foot, Utopia III yacht.

Celebrities came out to watch Alejandro including Emilio and Gloria Estefan, David Bisbal's girlfriend Elena Tablada, Paulina Rubio and husband Colate, Eva Longoria, designer Adriana Castro and Dallas QB Tony Romo.

Also during the 3 day convention, music producer Emilio Estefan signed copies of his best selling book The Rhythm of Success: How an Immigrant Produced His Own American Dream.

IDB Conference Brings Hollywood Latino's Biggest Star To Tackle Latin America's Social Problems

It wasn't the the Latin Grammy's, but IDB gather's Hollywood Latino's biggest music stars to talk about curing Latin America's problems. The Inter-American Development Bank, the oldest and largest regional bank in the world, is the main source of multilateral financing for economic, social and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean. It's annual conference is being held this week in Miami. On Friday, Telemundo's Maria Celestes Arraras moderated a panel with Shakira, Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra, Alejandro Sanz, Ricky Martin along with IDB president Alberto Moreno to discuss how celebrities can make awareness of Latin America's problem like malnutrition, microloans, drinking water, education, technology, peace, children and many more.
