CANE...might be bitter sweet

Actors Jimmy Smits is in a new television series called CANE. Filming in Miami, this drama tells the story of two multi-generational Cuban-American families, the Duques and the Samuels, in the rum and sugar business. The series explores the rivalry between the two families as well as the power struggles within the individual families.
Well this might be too close for comfort. According to Forbes magazine, Cuban power sugar growers The Fanjul family has sent their team of lawyers to check out the situation. To be continued.... The series premieres September 25th on CBS.
