Celebrity friends come out in support of Ricky Martin
Eva Longoria: You are inspiring and beautiful, te quiero mucho!

En mi caso, quitarme el peso de la espalda tipo Pipila de tantas imagenes preconcebidas y conceptos hechos por mi y sobre mi. Que libertaaad aceptarse tal y como uno es! Respiro, vivo , sonrio… SOY. RICKY MARTIN: "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man,"
Ricky's Full Message
A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And thisis something worth celebrating.
For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that's the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It's my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don't ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I'm at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I'm feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.
Many people told me: "Ricky it's not important", "it's not worth it", "all the years you've worked and everything you've built will collapse", "many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature". Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.
If someone asked me today, "Ricky, what are you afraid of?" I would answer "the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war...child slavery, terrorism...the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith." But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.
These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed.
What will happen from now on? It doesn't matter. I can only focus on what's happening to me in this moment. The word "happiness" takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.
I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.

Ricky Martin and Habitat’s CEO, Jonathan Reckford, travel to Haiti in support of Habitat’s Haitian recovery efforts
Ricky Martin traveled to Port-au-Prince today with Habitat for Humanity International’s chief executive officer, Jonathan Reckford, to visit one of the earthquake-ravaged neighborhoods in the capital city. Martin was moved by the massive devastation caused by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck last week, and just as he did following the December 2004 Asian tsunami, Martin traveled as quickly as possible to the affected region.
“The only words I can think of to describe what I’ve witnessed here today are that this is a living nightmare. The images that are now in my head will be impossible to erase,” said Martin. “Children and families impacted by this disaster will need long-term help restoring their lives, in every sense of the word. Every family is a family in need. I’m asking each of you to think about the future of the children. What they will need to survive after they are properly fed and have received appropriate medical care is a safe and decent home.”Habitat for Humanity’s Disaster Response team in Haiti assessed the damage to low-income neighborhoods impacted by the earthquake and will work alongside Habitat for Humanity Haiti in the response and recovery efforts. Habitat for Humanity offers a threefold response that includes clearing debris from home sites, providing Habitat for Humanity Shelter Kits and repairing and rebuilding homes through a transitional housing method.
When families return to their homes from temporary shelters, Habitat will help them remove debris and identify what materials can be reused for rebuilding.
Habitat for Humanity Shelter Kits will be provided that include building materials and tools to make immediate repairs to damaged homes. The kits typically include items such as hammers, nails, buckets, rope, crowbar, a tarp, trowels and handsaws.
Habitat for Humanity will help families repair homes where possible. For homes that are beyond repair, Habitat will help families build new houses that are stronger and more resistant to earthquakes and hurricanes.
Please join Ricky in bringing hope to the people of Haiti. There are many ways you can get involved. Bookmark this page and return often to find out how you can help.

Finally Ricky Martin presents his adorable baby twins, Valentino and Matteo. The images sold exclusively to People and People en Español and HOLA magazines in Europe, were a good way to showcase the bundles of joy, especially in when Ricky celebrates his birthday on December 24th and turns 37.
He reveals to People magazine:
I'm so happy! Everything they do, from smiling to crying, feels like a blessing. Being a father feels amazing. This has been the most spiritual moment in my life.

Activist blast Ricky Martin about his entry into fatherhood calling it a "Monstrosity"
At morning show ZONA CERO on 106.7 FM in Miami, Conservative Democratic activist Eladio Armesto, Jr. tells shock jock Javier Ceriani that Ricky Martin becoming a father via a surrogate is a "Monstrosity". Eladio went on to say about Ricky's twins that babies have
"the right to have a daddy and a mommy...a mother's hug is so important".He continued saying,
"Ricky Martin is on an ego trip for being irresponsible, using this as human mascots or some consuming product".WOW!
Meanwhile Ricky hasn't comment on these allegations, he did tell People magazine,
"Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."
We like to note Ricky is a longtime supporter of children's causes around the globe through his Ricky Martin Foundation.

Just when we thought nothing could beat Michael Phelps 8 medals at the Beijing Olympics, news comes out that Ricky Martin is a daddy of twin boys. We're happy for the Living La Vida Loca star. The babies were born through surrogate mother.
We wonder what magazines will offer for the first photos of the twins.
-JLO and Marc, twins Max Anthony and Emme Anthony, People magazine paid $6 million
-Jolie and Pitt, twins Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, People magazine paid $15 million
-Ricky Martin and surrogate mother, twins A? and B?, our estimate is $3 to 5 million
